Hello guys, I know I should keep you updated more frequently, but things in my family in germany are just going crazy, and that consumes a lot of my time and thoughts... so don't be mad at me when I fail to post something every day. Thanx.

That's me in front of the Christ Church, which is (beside the adjoining "Stadthuys") the oldest dutch building in Asia. This was a damn hot day... I really got a tan - and a sunburn on my shoulders as usual, but not as bad as I expected. I hope you enjoyed the pics of the trip - I am looking forward to get a gallery online soon.

This is Daud, he owns the hotel where we stayed. A really friendly, open hearted and interesting man.

A view ver the old core of the city. The white thing on the small hill was a church once and has a long dutch, english and malay history. Nearly everybody has owned it for a time...

A gallery, at the street where the night market was.

Night market in chinatown, Melaka. It was really great, full of people till after midnight, with hawkers, people selling all kinds of stuff, music acts, karaoke in temples - whatever you can imagine.

We took a rickshaw every time we wanted to go somewhere further away, or just when we felt like having some fun - they are soooo cool, and its a relaxing way to see a city. They look like crazy christmas-trees at night.

As I told you, I've been to Melaka this weekend. Weiwei and I went from Singapore to Johor Bahru, the city right across the boarder of Singapore, and then took the 4h-bus to Melaka. Malaysia is so cheap! The bus cost us 12 RM per person, that is 6 SGD or 3 EUR. For 300 km! This picture is from the garden of the hotel where we stayed. It was very quiet, cheap & simple. A lovely place.

Anke and Weiwei in the elevator. No, this is no cheesy Photoshop-effect!!!

Last friday was Anke's last Friday in S'pore, so we went to the New Asia bar, on the top floor of the highest building in the city, the swissotel. Now see this!
